Job Description

Senior Talent Acquisition Manager

About the Role

The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager will lead full-cycle recruitment activities for a broad portfolio of hiring needs, with responsibility for senior-level search, high-volume hiring, and strategic talent planning across the organisation. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this full-time role sits within Human Resources and serves as a key partner to business leaders, hiring managers, and HR stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality, and compliant hiring outcomes. The role requires a disciplined, data-informed approach to workforce demand, candidate assessment, market mapping, and recruitment process governance.

This position is suited to a recruitment leader with strong execution capability and the credibility to operate at both strategic and operational levels. The successful candidate will build effective sourcing strategies, manage agency and vendor relationships where required, strengthen employer positioning in the talent market, and drive a consistent candidate experience across all stages of the hiring journey. A sound understanding of recruitment technology, local employment practices, and talent market conditions in Malaysia will be important, together with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead end-to-end recruitment processes from role briefing and sourcing strategy through offer management, pre-employment checks, and onboarding coordination.
  2. Partner closely with business leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define role requirements, and advise on effective hiring plans.
  3. Manage senior-level search assignments through proactive market mapping, targeted sourcing, stakeholder alignment, and rigorous candidate evaluation.
  4. Oversee volume hiring campaigns for business-critical functions by implementing scalable processes, structured screening, and efficient interview coordination.
  5. Develop and maintain diverse talent pipelines using direct sourcing, employee referrals, job platforms, professional networks, and talent communities.
  6. Ensure recruitment activities comply with internal policies, fair hiring principles, personal data handling requirements, and applicable employment regulations in Malaysia.
  7. Use applicant tracking systems and recruitment analytics to monitor hiring progress, identify bottlenecks, and improve time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and conversion rates.
  8. Manage external recruitment partners and vendors to ensure service quality, cost effectiveness, and alignment with hiring standards.
  9. Champion a professional and consistent candidate experience by maintaining clear communication, timely feedback, and structured assessment practices.
  10. Support employer branding initiatives by partnering with internal stakeholders on recruitment campaigns, events, and messaging that strengthen talent attraction.
  11. Contribute to process improvement initiatives, interview frameworks, and governance standards that enhance recruitment capability across the organisation.
  12. Coach hiring managers and HR colleagues on selection best practices, interview quality, market conditions, and competitive talent strategies.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  2. Substantial experience in talent acquisition with proven responsibility for both senior-level hiring and volume recruitment delivery.
  3. Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple functions, stakeholders, and hiring timelines.
  4. Strong knowledge of direct sourcing techniques, candidate assessment methods, and structured interview practices.
  5. Experience using applicant tracking systems, recruitment dashboards, and standard productivity tools to manage hiring activity and reporting.
  6. Sound understanding of recruitment compliance, confidentiality obligations, and employment-related practices relevant to Malaysia.
  7. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence hiring decisions through credible market insight and professional judgement.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a polished and professional approach to candidate and leadership engagement.
  9. Strong organisational capability with the ability to prioritise competing vacancies while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
  10. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret hiring data, identify trends, and recommend practical improvements.
  11. High level of discretion, professionalism, and accountability in handling sensitive hiring information.

Nice to Have

  1. Experience recruiting across regional markets or supporting geographically distributed teams.
  2. Familiarity with employer branding, talent marketing, and social sourcing strategies.
  3. Exposure to recruitment process optimisation, service delivery models, or shared services environments.
  4. Knowledge of psychometric tools, competency-based assessment, or structured evaluation methodologies.
  5. Experience partnering with external search firms for executive or specialist recruitment assignments.
  6. Professional certification in Human Resources, recruitment, or talent management would be advantageous.

What We Offer

  1. A strategically important role with broad exposure to senior stakeholders and enterprise hiring priorities.
  2. The opportunity to shape recruitment strategy, improve processes, and influence talent outcomes across the organisation.
  3. A professional working environment that values integrity, collaboration, and high standards of execution.
  4. Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with the scope and seniority of the position.
  5. Opportunities for continued professional development and career progression within Human Resources.
  6. A central Kuala Lumpur location with access to a dynamic and collaborative business environment.
